Subject Specific Online Classes

Students can also choose instruction in individual subject areas. This program is perfect for homeschool families looking for supplementary instruction in just one or two subject areas. Courses include both synchronous (live) and asynchronous (self-paced) class options.

Mathematics

Cost: $475 per year ($100 discount if bundled with other Nahunta Hall courses) or $250 per semester

All math courses include asynchronous video instruction, offline activities, online quizzes and instructor support via the online classroom. Full-time math classes include live office hours.

Students enrolled in full year math classes also have access to all one-time classes for their age group.

Hands-on manipulatives are distributed for online courses and students have access to digital manipulatives as well.

English Language Arts

All ELA courses include asynchronous video instruction, offline activities, online quizzes and instructor support via the online classroom. Full-time classes include live office hours.

Social Studies

Students enrolled in full year science classes also have access to all one-time classes for their age group.

Some common household materials will be required for science activities completed at home.

Musical Dance Theatre

Cost: $300 per year ($100 discount if taken with other Nahunta Hall courses)

Physical Education and Responsible Healthy Lifestyles

Cost: $225 ($50 discount if taken with other full year courses)

This full-year course covers fifteen instructional units for PE including aerobics, badminton, basketball, cycling, football, Frisbee, hockey, jump rope, self defense, soccer, softball, unusual sports, volleyball, walking/running/hiking and yoga along with thirteen instructional units for health including body systems, drug and alcohol abuse, child abuse prevention and first aid. 

Aerobics, jump rope and yoga are available either as asynchronous self-paced units or as live streamed classes.

Cycling, frisbee, football, soccer, softball and walking/running/hiking units include an optional in-person final assessment.

SUPPLY LIST

Students need access to the following materials for success in the course: a jump rope, a Frisbee, a badminton racket and shuttlecock, a Basketball, a bicycle, a football, a soccer ball, a yoga mat, a yo-yo, a volleyball, a broom or hockey stick, a Wiffleball, a softball or baseball, a baseball mitt and bat, and a hula hoop. Additional common household items (paper and pencil, dish soap, etc.) may be required for some activities.

PE courses include asynchronous video instruction, offline activities, online quizzes and instructor support via the online classroom. Assessments include personal video submissions as well as a personal activity log.

Students can enroll for the full year course or can select individual units, mixing and matching based on personal interest.
